In Audiology department we provide the following services using state of the art equipment.

Pure tone audiometry (PTA)

Pure tone audiometry (PTA) is the key hearing test used to identify hearing threshold levels of an individual, enabling determination of the degree, type and configuration of a hearing loss. Thus, providing the basis for diagnosis and management.

Tympanometry

Tympanometry is an examination used to test the condition of the middle ear and mobility of the eardrum (tympanic membrane) and the conduction bones by creating variations of air pressure in the ear canal. Tympanometry is an objective test of middle-ear function.

OAE

Otoacoustic emission (OAE) tests is be used to screen hearing (particularly in neonates, infants, or individuals with developmental disabilities).

BERA

The brainstem evoked response audiometry (BERA) is an objective neurophysiological method for the evaluation of the hearing threshold in children, difficult to test population , and diagnosing retrocochlear lesions.

ASSR

The auditory steady-state response (ASSR) is an electrophysiologic test which allows the hearing care professional to create statistically valid audiograms for those unable or unwilling to participate in traditional behavioral tests.
